Biography
About Jacob
Jacob is a concert pianist whose playing bridges the grandeur of the classical canon and the freedom of jazz and contemporary music — praised for a singing tone, fearless programming, and performances that feel like conversations.
Jacob began studying piano at the age of five, and gave his first full recital before his twelfth birthday. Trained in the classical tradition, he fell in love early with the music that lives at the edges of it — Gershwin's blue notes, Debussy's colors, the improvised language of jazz.
His performances have taken him from intimate salon concerts to major stages, and his programs are known for placing Bach beside Bill Evans and Chopin beside contemporary film music, inviting audiences to hear the instrument whole.
When he is not performing, Jacob teaches, records, and writes arrangements for solo piano.
